“Then said Saul, “I have sinned. Return, my son David, for I will not harm you again, because my soul was precious in your eyes this day. I have acted foolishly and have seriously gone astray.” David answered and said, “See, the king’s spear! Let one of the young men come over and get it. The Lord requites to every man his right conduct and loyalty. So the Lord gave you into my hand today, but I am not willing to stretch my hand against the Lord’s anointed. As your life was highly valued in my eyes this day, so may my life be highly valued in the eyes of the Lord, and may He rescue me out of all distress.””

Do you know the balance in your bank account?

The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7-9
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
David watched over his own account. He was referring to his spiritual account in today’s verses. He was not after revenge toward Saul.
He was sowing seeds of respect, honor, humility , and obedience unto God.
He knew where his deliverance came from.
Are you watching over your own account?
It is easy to be consumed with pointing out everyone else’s mistakes, hypocrisy or flaws, but God only wants you to be concerned with your own account.
Action Step
Sow forgiveness in someone’s field today who has wronged you.
Sow kindness where you have experienced hate.
Sow love where you have received rejection.4
Ask Holy Spirit to help you break up the hard, rocky ground of your heart by bringing someone to your mind that you can implement these things with.Hosea 10:12
Father, help us to surrender every past experience, every unhealed hurt, unresolved issue, and unmet need over to You. Shine your marvelous light in every dark area in us, that all of our hidden places are absorbed by Your magnificent love. We submit our hearts to You, and lay them on Your altar. We break up our fallowed ground by seeking You. In Jesus Name, we thank You that we walk in the Light of Your Love, because we have turned every place in us over to You. Amen and Amen.
