Day1
2 Thessalonians 2:1-2
“Now, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to him, we plead with you, beloved friends, not to be easily confused or disturbed in your minds by any kind of spirit, rumor, or letter allegedly from us, claiming that the day of the Lord has already come.”

Your Mind
Is your mind at ease?
Do you have a battle raging inside your mind?
Our thoughts are powerful and completely evil unless we surrender them to God.
If left on our own, it doesn’t take long before the “what if’s” and the “should’ve’s” go wild.
Why do we do this?
We have access to the mind of Christ.
Somehow most times we think we can do better on our own.
God wants us to consult Him in all things.
Even our thoughts.
“We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.”
2 Corinthians 10:5 TPT
We get to choose what we keep in our minds.
King David after he was given reign over Israel got into a mess of good intentions. He wanted to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, but He did not consult God on how to do it. Long story short, They didn’t get very far before the oxen stumbled and a man was killed by taking matters into his own hands and touching the Ark.
David thought it all out in his own wisdom. He had good intentions, but He didn’t consult God and He forgot to search out God’s Word concerning the instructions for moving the Ark.
His second chance was successful because He followed God’s Word exactly including stopping every six steps to praise God and offer sacrifices!
2 Samuel 6 and
1 Chronicles 13-15 both recount this story.
What a difference it makes when we access the mind of Christ. His Word is His mind and that is how we renew ours.
Action Step:
Stop and praise God every six tasks you do throughout your day.
Make yourself do it. Weather you feel like it or not, God is worthy of your praise in every moment!
Watch how different your day is.
I dare you
