Your Heart
It feels good to kick back and rest when all is well in your household, right?
Where is your heart in times like this? Do you remember to thank God for the peace you are experiencing?
David had a great deal to be thankful for. God had brought him through some long hard times and finally he could rest.
As he rested, he began to think about God and his heart became restless because he noticed that his dwelling seemed in better condition than the dwelling place (tent) they had made for God.
What condition is your church building in? Does the lawn need mowed, the bathrooms cleaned or flower beds weeded, or maybe planted?
Our hearts can easily become focused on our own priorities and it’s easy to forget that God’s house may need some volunteers to keep it looking good, too.
Action Step
Ask God where you can help pitch in.
Maybe He will direct you to ask at your local church and maybe even help a neighbor or a stranger.
Take a moment and thank God for His faithfulness.
