Day5
Mark 12:13-17
“Then they sent a delegation of Pharisees, together with some staunch supporters of Herod, to entrap Jesus with his own words. So they approached him and said, “Teacher, we know that you’re an honest man of integrity and you teach us the truth of God’s ways. We can clearly see that you’re not one who speaks only to win the people’s favor, because you speak the truth without regard to the consequences. So tell us, then, what you think. Is it proper for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” Jesus saw through their hypocrisy and said to them, “Why are you testing me? Show me one of the Roman coins.” They brought him a silver coin used to pay the tax. “Now, tell me,” Jesus said, “whose head is on this coin and whose inscription is stamped on it?” “Caesar’s,” they replied. Jesus said, “Precisely. The coin bears the image of the emperor Caesar, so you should pay the emperor his portion. But because you bear the image of God, you must give to God all that belongs to him.” And they were utterly stunned by Jesus’ words.”

Whose image do you bear?
When you look in the mirror, undoubtedly you see physical traits of one or both your parents, especially the older we get, lol.
I asked the Holy Spirit one time to not only show me what I looked like in the spirit, but with a magnifying glass.
I don’t like to look at my face under a magnifying glass, so not sure why I asked, but I am grateful that I did.
He showed me a large overgrown bush in my backyard that was badly in need of pruning. It looked mostly dead. By the way it was an eyesore to me and I hated that bush.
I don’t recommend asking that, however that experience produced a wake up call for me. I heeded the call and have grown up much spiritually since then.
In my experience, we tend to look at others through a magnifying lens and sometimes we don’t look at ourselves at all.
We were created as image bearers of God. Genesis 1:27
As we grow in spiritual understanding and apply it to our life, we become more like Him.
Who do you look like?
