Who is Stirring You Up?

Day5

Mark15:11-15

“But the ruling priests stirred up the crowd to incite them to ask for Barabbas instead. So Pilate asked them, “What do you want me to do with this one you call the king of the Jews?” They all shouted back, “Crucify him!” “Why?” Pilate asked. “What evil thing has he done wrong to deserve that?” But they kept shouting out with a deafening roar, “Crucify him at once!” Because he wanted to please the people, Pilate released Barabbas to them. After he had Jesus severely beaten with a whip made of leather straps and embedded with metal, he sentenced him to be crucified.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭15:11-15‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Who is stirring you up?

BUT.

I love seeing that word in scripture. I know that after that word there is always a gold nugget of truth to be dug out and tucked into my heart.

The crowd in this passage was stirred up by the leading political and religious officials of that time. Strategic placement of people, (who were most likely payed off by the religious authorities), in the crowd caused them all to be stirred up against Jesus.

Who has you all stirred up?

Who are you listening to? Who do you hang around?

Are you stirred up by politics, the office gossip, your friends negative attitude…. Your own negative thoughts?

Are you a people pleaser?

Do not answer these questions quickly.

Allow the Holy Spirit to show you where you need adjustments.

Listen!

We need to be stirred up everyday by our Savior!

Not just on Sunday and Wednesday.

Paul told Timothy to stir himself up.

“I’m writing to encourage you to fan into a flame and rekindle the fire of the spiritual gift God imparted to you when I laid my hands upon you. For God will never give you the spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control.”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:6-7‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Listen to faith messages daily.

Read God’s Word daily.

Invest time with God daily in prayer. Two way conversation, speaking praise and thanksgiving and listening.(asking and thanking Him by faith)

Encourage one person a day by sharing what you have freely received.

Let’s get stirred up!
