1Samuel 22
Week 37
“The king said to the guards standing near him, “Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, because their hand is with David. And because they knew that he was fleeing and did not reveal it to me.” But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to attack the priests of the Lord.”

Who Do You Fear
Have you ever said yes to someone when you really wanted to say no?
What about telling a white lie to get out of a commitment?
Calling in sick when you aren’t sick?
Who do you fear in these instances?
Your friend, boss or coworker?
As we think about these questions, it certainly raises the ultimate question,”Who do you fear?”
We are to fear God above all else.
Our standard as a Christ follower should be to always factor God in on every circumstance.
Does God approve of lying?
Have we considered if making a commitment would move us closer towards our Godly purpose or away from it?
We serve an awesome God! He is full of compassion and mercy, but still He is to be reverenced.
Saul’s men certainly feared Saul, and for good reason. Their choice in today’s lesson proves that they feared God more than Saul.
Who do you fear? God or man?
