What do you see?

Day2

Mark 13:1-2

“As Jesus was leaving the temple courts, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Teacher, look at these magnificent buildings! And what tremendous stones were used to build all this!” Jesus turned to them and said, “Take a good look at all these enormous buildings, for I’m telling you, there will not be one stone left upon another. It will all be leveled!””

What do you see?

Jesus and His disciples were standing in Solomon’s temple, which was rebuilt by Herod the Great. He used some of the greatest marble and gold ornamentation found in the Middle East. Some of the stones he used were five meters long and over one meter high.

This had to be a wonderful sight to behold.

This prophecy of Jesus about the destruction of the temple was fulfilled by the Roman prince Titus, who, in the Roman war of AD 67–70, destroyed the temple.

Jesus had just finished pointing out the poor widow woman who gave all she had in contrast to the others who gave from there overflow.

The disciples were still thinking about what was in plain sight. A beautiful sight, but the things of this world are here today and gone tomorrow.

Are we looking at what is in plain sight in our life?

Are we looking at our problems or are we looking at the answer. God is our only source. He is the answer.

There are many beautiful things to look at. There are many things to distract us.

Be careful little eyes what you see.

We must put on our spiritual glasses and allow the Holy Spirit to clean the lenses.

How do we do that?

Look in the Bible. All the answers are in there.

Your spiritual eyes will develop by pursuing a personal relationship with Jesus.

Invest some time talking to Jesus. ( praying and I don’t mean telling Him how to fix your life, lol)

20/20 vision is available.

Are you willing to look for it?

Change what you are spending time looking at and seek Him.
