Weakness

Do you know your weakness?

David kept busy while he was in Hebron. He had 6 boys by 6 different women and that wasn’t including any female children.

He apparently had a weakness for women.

In the culture of this time it was not unusual for a king to have many women as wives and concubines.

This was not in accordance with the law of Moses, but it was common among the other nations that God warned them about.

Our weaknesses do not stop God. He looks on the heart. There are no perfect examples in the Bible except Jesus.

God uses our weaknesses to highlight His strength.

Even so, we need to be aware of what tempts us, so that we won’t fall into any snares.

Action Step

Ask Holy Spirit to remind you of possible snares in your life.

If you have fallen into one, no worries, repent and start over.

God loves us no matter what, but be careful because sin always has consequences.
