Wanderers

I am guilty of wandering around aimlessly, distracted moving from project to project never fully completing any of them.

Has that ever happened to you?

The people in today’s scripture were truly wanderers for faith.

They were not distracted by the cares of this life or aimless in their wandering.

They had their eyes fixed on the prize that is eternal.

There was nothing more important than the promise of things to come.

They chose to endure impossible conditions and even death because they believed in God and His faithfulness no matter if it meant deliverance now or reward after death.

Faith like that is what we strive for.

The world can’t understand it, but love explains everything.

Are you a wanderer?

We need to become grounded in the Word of God and learn to hold fast to His promises.

You may not be called to wander around in the wilderness literally, but we are all called to wander through this foreign world as strangers living in a different culture.

The Kingdom culture is one of faith.

As you wander through your day, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and you won’t follow the customs of this world.

Action Step

Which culture are you wandering in?

Ask God to fill you with His love for those still trapped in the culture of the world.
