Separate
Jesus led the man out of town.
We read previously in Mark 7:33 where Jesus took him aside.
Why?
I believe it was to separate the man from distraction. In order for faith to grow, there can be no distractions.
Doubt often comes in the form of distractions.
In today’s passage we read that Jesus spit on his eyes and put His hands on the mans eyes. Then He asked Him , “Do you see anything?”
The man told Jesus that he saw men like trees walking.
What happens between the “Amen” of your prayers and the “there it is” is extremely important!
What if there were naysayers all around making negative comments?
“I knew it wouldn’t work.” Or “He is an imposter”
Do you suppose the out come would have been a little different?
Most of the time in my experience, the answer is not immediate. It can be, but it wouldn’t take faith if it happened like that every time.
What distractions are you allowing to weaken your faith?
Are there naysayers feeding you with doubt?
Remember that faith goes!
It is a-moving part. Sometimes Faith has to go or move away from the distractions and yes, sometimes the distraction is a person.
Gather together with believers, absolutely! But also Separate yourselves from doubters.
Faith goes!
