Day1
Week 9
Hebrews 9
”Now in the first covenant there were specific rules for worship including a sanctuary on earth to worship in. When you entered the tabernacle you would first come into the holy chamber where you would find the lampstand and the bread of his presence on the fellowship table. Then as you pass through the next curtain you would enter the innermost chamber called, the holiest sanctuary of all. It contained the golden altar of incense and the ark of covenant mercy, which was a wooden box covered entirely with gold. And placed inside the ark of covenant mercy was the golden jar with mystery-manna inside, Aaron’s resurrection rod, which had sprouted, and the stone tablets engraved with the covenant laws. On top of the lid of the ark were two cherubim, angels of splendor, with outstretched wings overshadowing the throne of mercy. But now is not the time to discuss further the significant details of these things.“

Ungrateful, Rebellious, Failure
As we study the ark of the covenant, it is important to take a moment and reflect on our own lives.
Have you ever felt like an ungrateful, rebellious failure?
Are there people or things in your life that are constant reminders of your past ungrateful, rebelious failure or even current mistakes?
· The manna reminded Israel of God’s provision and their ungratefulness.
· Aaron’s rod reminded Israel of their rebellion against God’s authority.
· The tablets of the covenant reminded Israel of their failure to keep the Ten Commandments and rest of the law.
The mercy seat: This was the ornate “lid” for the ark of the covenant, made with the designs of cherubim upon it. The blood of sacrifice was sprinkled upon it for the forgiveness of Israel’s sin on the Day of Atonement (Exodus 25:17-22).
As God looked down into the ark, He saw the symbols of Israel’s sin, rebellion and failure. But when the blood of sacrifice was applied to the mercy seat, the blood of sacrifice covered His sight of the sin of Israel.
The precious blood of Jesus does much more than cover our sin.
His blood washes us white as snow and clothes us in His righteousness.
He throws our sin into the depths of the sea to be remembered no more!
Micah 7:19.
Action Step
Jesus paid a very high price to redeem you and restore your relationship with the Father.
Do not allow the enemy to be a deep sea treasure hunter into your past and accuse you of things that Jesus already paid for.
Are you feeling guilty about anything today?
Tell the enemy, “Shut up! Jesus already paid for that!”
Spend some time with your Father and let Him love you, today.
