Turned To Foolishness

Day4

Week25

2 Samuel

“After they left, they came up from the well, went, and reported to King David. They said to David, “Arise and quickly cross over the water because thus has Ahithophel advised against you.” So David and all of the people who were with him arose and crossed over the Jordan. By daybreak, there was not one left who had not crossed over the Jordan. When Ahithophel realized that his advice was not followed, he saddled his donkey and returned to his house in his own city. He gave instruction to his household, then he hanged himself and died; he was interred in the tomb of his father.”

‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭21‬-‭23‬ ‭MEV‬‬

2 Kings 20:1

Turned To Foolishness

The wisdom of man is as foolishness to God. Ahithophel was regarded by many as wise, but his own mind was deceived by the enemy of his soul and turned to foolishness.

We are no match for the deceptive powers of the devil. Study your own thoughts for even 1 hour of the day and you will see that it is his play ground.

…My thoughts are higher than your thoughts says the Lord…

Isaiah 55:9

Jesus tells us things like:

..take no thought..,

..cast down imaginations..

..cast your cares..

..rather, think on these things..

Left to our own devices, we are putty  in the hands of the enemy, but we are not left. We have a choice as to what we allow ourselves to think about.

Our thoughts can be transformed by the renewing of our minds as Christ Jesus. We can have the mind of Christ or we can sit idly by and allow our minds to be turned to foolishness.

Action Step

Now to the eternal, immortal, invisible King, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever. Amen.
