Treasure In The Sky
1 Peter 1:4 TPT
“We are reborn into a perfect inheritance that can never perish, never be defiled, and never diminish. It is promised and preserved forever in the heavenly realm for you!“
When was the last time that you gazed into a star lit sky?
Have you seen photos from the telescopes in outer space of the vast galaxies being discovered and beyond?
Imagine the treasures in the sky beyond what we can see all the way into heaven.
There are treasures laid up there for each of us and we have access to them now.
Jesus said that if we ask anything in His name that we would receive it!
Have you let go of your faith or are you patiently awaiting His promises?
One theme I discovered as I read these references was endurance.
Spiritual maturity requires us to hold on to the end no matter what it looks like, no matter what it feels like….hold on!
How?
Focus on your reward. The early church Christians were having there property confiscated with joy! They were beaten and tortured all the while remaining joyful.
How?
They remembered His promise and their inheritance!
He is coming back soon!
What are you focusing on?
Action Step
Write down one thing that you are looking forward to as your inheritance.
Share it with the group and praise God for His faithfulness!
