Day5
Week7
2 Samuel
”All of the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “We are your bone and flesh. Previously, when Saul was king over us, you were the one leading Israel out and in. Also, the Lord said to you: You will shepherd My people Israel, and you will be ruler over Israel.” So all of the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them before the Lord at Hebron. They anointed David king over Israel. David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. He reigned over Judah from Hebron for seven years and six months, and he reigned over all of Israel and Judah from Jerusalem for thirty-three years.“

Thirty
When I was thirty I found myself pregnant with my first child and about to get a divorce.
What were you doing at age 30?
Jesus started his earthly ministry at age 30.
New beginnings, end of an era, and even abundance have been thought to signify this number thirty.
What we do in the next thirty minutes will have more impact on our lives and destiny than thinking about thirty years.
David had a heart toward God and his life was filled with action. He was known for stepping out in faith and living each moment.
David was chosen by God to shepherd Israel and point their hearts toward the coming Messiah King, Jesus.
We are to shepherd our time and use it to point all those we come in contact with to Jesus.
Action Step
Whether you invest 30 seconds or 30 minutes right now to invite God into your thoughts and feelings is up to you. It’s not about quantity it’s about quality.
God, You know everything about me. You know what I’m going to say before I speak it. You know all of my thoughts, desires, and intentions. All that I am, I give to You. Please remove any idea or behavior that will keep me from becoming the person You created me to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
”casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,“
2 Corinthians 10:5 MEV
