Cross references
Matthew 21:20
They saw it!
The morning before, Jesus answered the fig tree and spoke to it.
The original Greek says answered.
What was He answering?
Did the fig tree talk?
I believe He was answering the evidence He saw. That the tree was not doing what it was intended to do. Produce figs.
The leaves of the fig tree were used in the garden of Eden to hide the shame Adam and Eve felt after they sinned.(Genesis 3:7)
Those leaves represent the hiding and shame from a life of sin.
Eve saw it. She looked at the forbidden tree and ate the fruit.
Jesus saw the leaves and no fruit. He answered speaking. He commanded that no one ever eat fruit from the tree again.
In the morning, the disciples saw it. They were amazed.
They saw it after it was done and were amazed. Jesus wants us to see and be amazed!
He wants to see the fruit of faith in our lives.
Faith sees and moves. The evidence is our belief not what we see. The fruit is the steps forward toward the goal.
What are you believing God for in your life this year?
What can you do to move in that direction?
Do you have a debt that you want paid off? Do you see it paid in full?
Start by finding out the pay off. Write it down, set a deadline and then make a plan to put small chunks toward it. Find scriptures about God supplying all your needs and say it like He already did it! Praise Him like it is done. Be amazed!
Do you want God to heal you this year?
Use Google to find scriptures for healing and specific to where you need healing. Write it down and start saying it as if it is already done. Choose a point of contact, like the woman with the issue of blood( when I touch the hem of His garment). See yourself healed. Act like your healed even if you don’t feel like it. Praise Him! Be amazed!
Restoration in a relationship?
See the relationship restored! Put a picture of you and that person together in front of your eyes. Look up scriptures about forgiveness and restoration. Write them down. Say them out loud.
See the relationship healed and restored! Praise Him like it’s done! Be amazed!
See the pattern of stepping out in faith?
Which leaves are you looking at? Forbidden fruit, like Eve or faith filled promises. They both produce a harvest.
See it! Say it! Do it! Praise Him! Be amazed!
