Day5
Week5
2 Samuel
”So Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf saying, “To whom does the land belong? Make your covenant with me, and my hand will be with you to bring over all of Israel to you.” He responded, “Very well, I will make a covenant with you, but I require one thing from you: you will not see my face unless you bring Michal the daughter of Saul with you when you come to see me.” Then David sent messengers to Ish-Bosheth the son of Saul, saying, “Give me my wife Michal, to whom I was betrothed for one hundred Philistine foreskins.”“

The Lord’s Hands
Do you have meddling hands?
I would say that we all have gotten our hands a little sticky a time or two, right?
As we read through 2 Samuel, we are witnessing God working things out for His purpose without any help from those( David in this case) serving him.
We serve a God who is capable and who loves us!
Abner has been serving his own ambitions and following his own lusts for power. David has been waiting on the Lord.
Who do you currently identify with? Abner or David?
Action Step
Whatever you are going through matters to God.
Take a deep breath and prepare your heart for His presence.
This is your time to have an honest conversation with someone who loves you.
