The Lord is...

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my PILLAR, and my FORTRESS, and my DELIVERER; My ROCK in whom I take REFUGE; My SHIELD, and the HORN of my SALVATION, my HIGH TOWER.

Thank you Lord that you are My PILLAR- a support, a person regarded as reliably providing essential support for me. And my FORTRESS- a military stronghold. A person not susceptible to outside influence or disturbance. And thank you that you are my DELIVERER- a person who rescues from harm or danger. A person who helps people (especially financially).

Thank you that you are my God, ROCK- strong and solid, unchanging. Thank you that you are unchanging. In whom I take REFUGE-a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger or trouble. You are my SHEILD- thuros in Greek. Large enough to provide full protection from attack, covering me (the believer) from head to toe during hand to hand spiritual warfare.

Thank you that you are THE HORN of my SALVATION-the allusion seems to be not a means of attack, like the horn of an animal, but to a mountain peak called "Horn " in all languages. Anab or Theb. Safe retreat-peak of safety.

Thank you that you are my HIGH TOWER- fortified structure and a military base. a citadel-a fortress, typically on high ground, protecting or dominating a city.
