”The priests on earth serve in a temple that is but a copy modeled after the heavenly sanctuary; a shadow of the reality. For when Moses began to construct the tabernacle God warned him and said, “You must precisely follow the pattern I revealed to you on Mount Sinai.” But now Jesus the Messiah has accepted a priestly ministry which far surpasses theirs, since he is the catalyst of a better covenant which contains far more wonderful promises! For if that first covenant had been faultless no one would have needed a second one to replace it.“

That’s Too Much
Have you ever been given an extravagant gift and tried to refuse it saying, “That’s too much.”?
Did you really mean, that's too much or maybe you meant that's too much for me to receive because I don't deserve it?
We tend to only be able to receive gifts that we think reflect our value or self-worth.
I had to learn how to graciously accept a gift.
A simple, “Thank you.” with a smile is all that is necessary.
The things I experienced as a child caused me to view myself as less than others and left me feeling undeserving of nice things.
I often said things like, “Oh no, I couldn’t! As I pushed away a gift or kind gesture.
What about you? Do you refuse help or gifts?
At the time The Book of Hebrews was written, priests were still offering sacrifices under the old law or covenant.
They had a hard time receiving the gift of Jesus once for all time.
It is an extravagant gift from our Father God offered by Jesus.
A gift isn’t given because we deserve it. It is given because the giver loves us.
This ultimate gift is offered to us with no strings attached.
