Day2
Week29
2 Samuel
“Then Mephibosheth the son of Saul went down to meet the king. He had neither dressed his feet nor trimmed his mustache, nor washed his clothes from the day the king left, until the day he came back in peace. When he came from Jerusalem to meet the king, the king said to him, “Why did you not go with me, Mephibosheth?” He said, “My Lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said, ‘I will saddle the mule for myself in order to ride on it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame. But he has slandered your servant to my Lord the king. Still my Lord the king is as the angel of God, so do what seems best to you. For all my father’s house were but dead men before my Lord the king. Yet you set your servant among those who eat at your table. What right do I have to cry out any more to the king?” The king said to him, “Why do you still speak of your affairs? I say that you and Ziba shall divide the field.” Mephibosheth said to the king, “Let him even take everything, since my Lord the king has come safely to his house.””

That’s Enough!
Have you ever told your children,”That’s enough!” when they were whining, going on and on about their circumstances?
David had heard enough and rendered his decision on the matter.
Does your prayer ever look like Mephibosheth’s explanation?
God already knows all about our circumstances. He is simply waiting for us to be ready to hear His answer.
Mephibosheth wasn’t looking for anything other than to see his king safely return unharmed with his own eyes. That was enough for him.
Is His grace sufficient for us?
Paul shared his experience of asking for relief and having to learn to be content with the grace of God alone in 2 Corinthians 12. It is not that God wishes for us to suffer, but that we learn to rely on Him and come to understand that His power shows out through our weakness.
Others will see Him through our weakness.

COLOSSIANS 3:16 TPT
Take a moment to thank God for His words, and ask Him to show you how to apply the words He's given you today to
your life.
God, sometimes I want an immediate solution for my problems. It can be so hard to wait, but I know Your timing and Your ways are perfect. As I wait for You, help me to learn from the current situation I'm in, focus on the blessings I currently have, and praise You for all the things You're going to do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
