Take It By Force

Day2

Week 7

Hebrews 7

“Yet the One these things all point to, was from a different tribe and no one from that tribe ever officiated at God’s altar, for we all know that our Lord didn’t descend from the tribe of Levi, but shined from the tribe of Judah. And Moses himself never said anything of a priest in connection with Judah’s tribe. And all this is made even clearer if there was another King-Priest raised up with the rank of Melchizedek. This King-Priest did not arise because of a genealogical right under the law to be a priest, but by the power of an indestructible, resurrection life! For it says in the Psalms, You are like Melchizedek, a King-Priest forever!”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Take It By Force

What is the most powerful force in all of creation?

Love!

God is love.

Jesus did not arise as King- Priest because of a genealogical right under the law to be a priest, but by the power of an indestructible, resurrection life!

The force of love.

Love is a force to be reckoned with and because of Love we also, by following Jesus’ ultimate example of love, can take it by force.

Are you wondering what it is that we are to take by force?

We are to take hold of every promise in His Word by the force of Love.

What do you need?

Love is your source and has already provided it for you.

Take it by force!

How?

Jesus said, “Fear not. Believe only.” Luke 8:50, Mark 5:36.

In order to tap into the force of Love, we simply must believe that Love loves us!

If God, who is the embodiment of love, loves us, then we must believe that He would only want the best for us.

In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul gives us 10 characteristics of God(Love).

  1. patient, remaining confident under stress

  2. kind at all times

  3. a cheerful giver, never envious

  4. humble, not self-focused

  5. never rude

  6. does not manipulate by shame or condemnation

  7. is not irritable or easily offended

  8. celebrates honesty

  9. does not focus on what is flawed, but points out the good

  10. never gives up and is loyal to the end

Action Step

Meditate on the above list of Loves (God’s) character.

Rather than judging yourself for your own flaws, focus on the truth that God responds to you with these Love qualities every time you talk to Him.

Yes, every time!

That is the force of love!

Fear not, believe only!
