Day2
Week20
1Samuel 13
“Samuel arose, and went up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men. Now Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were with them, were staying in Gibeah of Benjamin, but the Philistines encamped in Mikmash. Then raiders came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies. One company turned to the way that leads to Ophrah, to the land of Shual. And another company turned the way to Beth Horon. And another company turned to the way of the border that looks to the Valley of Zeboyim toward the wilderness.”

Surrounded
Have you ever had one of of those seasons when it seemed like one thing after another and then another went wrong?
Maybe you had a flat tire and then the washer broke down and then the school called and your child was in trouble and then you were given a scary diagnosis….
In those seasons, it can feel like we are surrounded, outnumbered and without hope.
With God there is always hope!
Saul had made a series of bad decisions.
Have you ever done that?
I have found that in a season of troubling circumstances, it is wise to step back for a moment and search your own heart.
If you find yourself guilty of bad choices, repent and ask God for His mercy and help.
If you find that you have not erred, then know that this is a spiritual attack.
We are not defenseless.
The weapons of our warfare are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Jesus made us ambassadors. He gave us authority over all the power of the enemy.
We have the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.
How do we use the sword?
Put it in your mouth and speak truth to your situation.
Action Step
Are you tired?
Say, The Lord is my strength and my song He has become my salvation!
Psalm 118:14
Do you lack money?
Say, My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory.
Philippians 4:19
Do you feel overwhelmed and crushed?

These confessions are praying God’s Word over your circumstances.
Jesus taught us to pray, “ Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.”
His Word is His will.
God watches over His Word to perform it!
Jeremiah 1:12
Are you giving Him anything to watch over and perform?
