Day1
Week15
1Samuel 9
“They arose early, and it was at the rising of the dawn that Samuel called to Saul on the roof, saying, “Get up, that I may send you away.” So Saul arose, and both he and Samuel went to the street. As they were going down to the outskirts of the city, Samuel said to Saul, “Tell the servant to pass on before us.” So he passed on. “But you stand still and I will proclaim to you the word of God.””
1 Samuel 9:26-27 MEV

Stand Still
Once again we find Saul laying down, this time asleep being told to get up and get going.
It was customary to rise early at the dawn. Apparently Saul didn’t get the memo
Just when Saul had gotten started Samuel interrupts his pace and tells him to stop and stand still.
Have you ever been interrupted while you were in the middle of something or even just getting started?
God isn’t on our time schedule. He has His own agenda.
I have found that the interruptions are usually where the break through happens.
Do you like to be still and quiet?
A seemingly simple request can be difficult living a fast paced life.
Are you listening for an answer from God?
Saul wasn’t even asking a question nor was he listening for an answer.
God interrupted his leisurely life style with a special assignment.
