Something More

Day5

Week 15

Hebrews 11

”These were the true heroes, commended for their faith, yet they lived in hope without receiving the fullness of what was promised them. But now God has invited us to live in something better than what they had—faith’s fullness! This is so that they could be brought to finished perfection alongside of us.“

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭39‬-‭40‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Something Better

It seems that we naturally look for something better. Would you agree, we tend to get distracted by the shiny things around us and become dissatisfied with our life fairly easily?

We have received a better promise in Jesus!

We have direct access to the throne of Grace and easy access to the Holy Word of God.

We have so much more than our forefathers from the Old Testament and still it seems we are much weaker in faith.

How is it that we see more but believe less?

We have been given the fullness of the Gospel. It is finished and we are complete in Him.

The answer is that we are still longing for home.

Action Step

Dive into His presence through praise and gratitude.

In His presence is fullness of joy.

In His presence all things can be endured and even suffering can be received with joy.
