Day4
Week18
1Samuel 12
““When you saw that Nahash, king of the Ammonites, came against you, you said to me, ‘No, but a king will reign over us,’ when the Lord your God was your king. Now therefore, look at the king whom you have chosen and for whom you have asked! And see that the Lord has set a king over you. If you will fear the Lord, and serve Him, and obey His voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king that reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God. But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then will the hand of the Lord be against you, as it was against your fathers.”

Simple Enough
Well, back to basic’s again.
A simple choice between right and wrong, with God or without God.
What could go wrong?
This reminds me of the garden of Eden. The serpent said, “Has God said that you may not eat of any tree in the garden?”
What’s wrong with this question?
It’s a lie! It is a leading question that twists God's word's and attempts to pervert and persuade the listeners mind to misinterpret the facts.
That is not what God said. It is very close to the truth.
Close enough, right?
Simple enough, right?
Absolutely not!
God gives us clear choices.
Our human nature blurs the lines. Our desires mixed with the perverted take on the truth, that the enemy serves up on a beautiful platter making the simple seem like not enough.
A popular mantra today is “My Truth” or “You Do You.”
Simple Enough, right?
As we look around and watch what’s on the news we can clearly see that this philosophy is producing chaos.
There is only One Living Savior!
One Living Word.
Jesus!
Except a person surrender their will and accept His will, which is His Word, as supreme and final truth, He can not be saved.
Simple Enough.
Action Step
How long has it been since you asked God earnestly to show you your heart from the inside out?
Simple Enough, right?
Simple isn’t easy, but it is necessary.
