Day4
Mark14:60-61
“Finally, the chief priest stood up in the middle of them and said to Jesus, “Have you nothing to say about these allegations? Is what they’re saying about you true?” But Jesus remained silent before them and did not answer. So the chief priest said to him, “Are you the anointed Messiah, the Son of the Blessed God?””

Silence
What are you saying?
We are compelled to open our mouth and speak.
What are you saying?
There is no law that says you are required to give an answer or to defend yourself, yet we let our lips flow loosely.
We are usually quick to describe down to the last minute detail every wrong done and every symptom we experience.
Are you quick to defend yourself or quick to tell everyone how awful your circumstances are?
Jesus is our example.
He was silent!
“A senseless man jumps headfirst into an argument; he’s just asking for a beating for his reckless words. A fool has a big mouth that only gets him into trouble, and he’ll pay the price for what he says. The words of a gossip merely reveal the wounds of his own soul, and his slander penetrates into the innermost being.”
Proverbs 18:6-8 TPT
“Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.”
Proverbs 18:21 TPT
“Watch your words and be careful what you say, and you’ll be surprised by how few troubles you’ll have.”
Proverbs 21:23 TPT
