“Saul clothed David with his armor. And he put a helmet of bronze on his head. He also clothed him with a coat of mail. David secured his sword to his armor and tried to walk, but he was not used to it, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off.”

David knew that Saul’s armor was made for Saul.
He knew that God had prepared him in a different way.
He trusted in the preparation and experience that God had taught him from his life circumstances.
What has God faithfully brought you through?
Shake off the voice of comparison and stop trying to use someone else’s experience to fight your battles.
I’m not suggesting that we stop learning, but I am suggesting that we trust God and know that through Him, nothing is wasted. Everything that you have experienced in your life God will use for a divine purpose and He will use it for His glory!
Action Step
Shake off what you see in someone else’s life and turn your eyes to Jesus.
Ask Him to remind you of what He has already given you.
