Shadows and Chains
Do you ever feel like there’s a shadow hanging over your life?
Maybe you have a small victory in one area and BAM! Something else happens or maybe there is one thing that you continually struggle in?
Remember this, “Did the shadow of a dog ever bite you?”(Kenneth Copeland)
No! The shadow is just that, a shadow. There is no power in it, but to attempt to cast darkness over your victory so you don’t see it.
Seek the Light, Jesus. In Him there is no darkness at all!
When I am most overwhelmed it helps me to remind myself that it’s only a shadow, an attempt to distract me from the goodness of God. I cry out, “Lord , help! I don’t see you, but I know you are faithful and I know you are there. Thank you for your faithfulness.”
Do you feel chained down by a habit that just seems to grip you?
Over eating, gossiping, complaining, smoking, trying to control everything…
Jesus snapped the chains of death, hell and the grave!
He brought us out of darkness, He made a way.
The shackles are snapped.
Why are we not walking free?
The shadow is a liar! You are not addicted! The truth says I am free indeed!
The truth says I am the righteousness of God in Christ!
The truth says I am a child of God!
Focus on the Maker, not the symptoms of your chains.
Bask in His presence continually!
Speak to yourself and say I am free! Start saying I hate over eating and push the plate away. I hate smoking and put down the cigarette. I hate gossiping and zip your lip and close your ears. I hate complaining and thank God for His provision. I hate taking matters into my hands so I give it to you Jehovah Jirah my provider.
Start hating what God hates. What does He hate?
Anything that hinders us from walking free!
You are free!
Walk in it!!!!
