Day1
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
“God’s will is for you to be set apart for him in holiness and that you keep yourselves unpolluted from sexual defilement. Yes, each of you must guard your sexual purity with holiness and dignity, not yielding to lustful passions like those who don’t know God.”

Set Apart
Sanctification or in its verb form, sanctify, literally means "to set apart for special use or purpose", that is, to make holy or sacred (compare Latin: sanctus). Therefore, sanctification refers to the state or process of being set apart, i.e. "made holy", as a vessel, full of the Holy Spirit of God.
Depravity-the innate corruption of human nature, due to original sin.
We are set apart , as born again believers. Holy Spirit lives inside us and readily helps us to remain free and to continue in this process so that we can live out our special purpose.
Our basic purpose is to love each other and tell others about Jesus through our lifestyle of love.
We each have a personal special purpose that God created us for.
As we intentionally allow Holy Spirit to work in us, through pruning and purging; we become more aware of our divine purpose.
What is your role in sanctification?
Sanctification is the believer's cleansing or purging from the nature of sin. This experience is not for sinners, but for people who, through grace, are saved and reconciled to God. This second work of grace makes the believer to be holy, have the nature of God and reflect the life of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
This is hands on learning.
We play a part in this, our part is to make the choice that we hate what God hates. It is God’s part to exercise His strength in deliverance.
Choose to renew your mind by reading God’s Word and thinking about it, rather than thinking about what is tempting you.
If you are tempted by sexual sin of any kind; ( pornography, self-pleasuring, unmarried sex, adultery, or maybe an over active sex drive in marriage) guard your eyes, your thoughts and desires by speaking God’s Word out loud and keep your eyes on His Word. Spend time in prayer.
Set up boundaries for yourself and do not cross them.
When we do our part, God takes care of the rest.
This principle works for any area that you struggle with.
When the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.
