Separate

Day4

Week23

1Samuel 15

“So Saul summoned the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men of Judah. Then Saul came to the city of Amalek and laid an ambush in the valley. Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart, go down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭MEV‬‬

Separate

Has God ever impressed you to leave an area or a group or even to end a relationship?

What about a job?

Did you obey?

How did the situation play out?

Obedience is so important. God is directing our lives all the time.

Are we listening?

Saul directed the Kenite people to separate themselves from the Amalekites.

If they didn’t, they would be destroyed along with them.

There are times when God is doing something that we know not about.

Maybe we have been praying for deliverance , but we have to separate ourselves before God can move.

Sometimes we can put ourselves in certain places that are unsafe and God is urging us to go so that He can destroy the problem like with Lot and his wife and daughters.

If we don’t separate, we can be destroyed along with the enemy.

Keep yourself from evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:22

Action Step

Think back on your life and see how God has been merciful and where He has spared you.

Listen closely and separate yourself from evil. As Mom would say, “This is for your own good!”
