Day5
Week 12
Hebrews 11
”Faith opened Noah’s heart to receive revelation and warnings from God about what was coming, even things that had never been seen. But he stepped out in reverent obedience to God and built an ark that would save him and his family. By his faith the world was condemned, but Noah received God’s gift of righteousness that comes by believing.“

Save Yourself
Reverent-
showing great respect or admiration.
Obedient-
complying or willing to comply with orders or requests; submissive to another's will.
Many of the people we read about in the Bible had deep reverence toward God and because of that were obedient. Their faith grew because of their adoration for God.
Noah’s reverent obedience and faith in God saved only him and his family.
As you read about the other Heroes of faith you will discover that they also could only save themselves.
Jesus, however because He was without sin and His faith was perfected, was able to save the world!
Through your faith in Jesus, you can only save yourself.
Each one of us must develop our own faith in Jesus in order to be saved.
It is imperative that we do not stop there, but press on and develop a deep reverence and through the perfecting of our faith become willing and obedient to share the Gospel and our own testimony with others.
You should use the faith that God gave you to save yourself, but it is much better to continue on and increase that faith by sharing it with another and another and another…
Action Step
Is there someone who comes to your mind right now that needs to hear your testimony?
If so, don’t hesitate. Share it!
If not, then ask God to put you in front of someone today who needs to hear it and pay close attention as you go about your day.
