Day4
Week20
1Samuel 14
“A day came that Jonathan, the son of Saul, said to the young man that bore his armor, “Come, and let us cross over to the Philistine garrison which is on the other side.” But he did not tell his father. Now Saul was staying on the outskirts of Gibeah under the pomegranate tree which is in Migron. And the people that were with him were about six hundred men. And Ahijah, the son of Ahitub, Ichabod’s brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the priest of the Lord in Shiloh, was wearing the ephod. But the people did not know that Jonathan had gone. Between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over to the Philistines’ garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side. And the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh. The crag of the one rose north opposite Mikmash, and the other faced southward opposite Geba.”

Risky Business
Our story today is filled with contrast.
Saul is waiting under the pomegranate tree and his son Jonathan is taking action moving forward into not only dangerous territory, but also enemy occupied territory.
Are you faced with a situation or circumstance today that looks scary?
Do you feel like you’re surrounded?
What do you feel like God is saying to you?
Sometimes we are waiting under the pomegranates where it seems safe when we need to step out in faith and take some risks.
Action Step
Seek God with all your heart.
Listen and move out as soon as you hear His direction no matter how risky it seems.
If God says sow (give) a financial seed,
Do it quickly.
If God says call a friend,
Do it now.
If God says change your diet,
Make the change now.
If God says exercise,
Do it.
If God says ask for help,
Do it.
If God says invest in yourself,
Take a course, read a book find someone who can help you….
