Day4
Week16
1Samuel 10
“Therefore Samuel called the people together unto the Lord at Mizpah. And he said to the children of Israel, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you.’ But you have today rejected your God, who saves you from all your troubles and your distresses. And you have said to Him, ‘No, but set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes, and by your clans.””
1 Samuel 10:17-19 MEV

Rejected
Have you ever been rejected ?
All of us have experienced this feeling a time or two.
This is one of the loneliest moments.
We all seek approval and acceptance.
Imagine how God must have felt after all He had done for His people and they weren’t satisfied. They didn’t trust Him. He wasn’t enough.
Do you long to be like the world’s people?
Are you comparing yourself with those around you?
God is more than enough!
God is faithful!
God is trustworthy!
God’s Ways are not our ways!
Where are you looking for provision?
Who are you seeking for answers?
Our focus determines our attitude. If we are focusing on the concerns in our lives, then we will see God as not enough.
Look in His Word, not in the world.
God is depending on you to depend on Him.
Your answer depends on your dependence!
Who are you depending on?
Action Step
Tell God what you are concerned about and then open His Word and listen.
Turn the pages until you are settled and read what you see. Sit quietly for a time ( you decide) and listen. Praise God for His goodness and let Him give you a hug.
