Prisoner of Hope

Have you ever compromised your faith?

Most of us would have to answer yes to that question.

Peer pressure, financial pressure, emotional pressure, whatever the case may be, pressure led us to make a compromise.

The cool thing about our faith journey is that we are growing and learning.

Our forefathers in faith did not start out as prisoners of hope.

They compromised at first and our faithful, loving Father forgave them and gave them another chance.

We understand that hope for a better future is available, but have we become prisoners of hope?

Are we so sure of the hope in Jesus soon return and the promises in His Word that we are unmoveably chained to the hope of our eternal reward?

One day soon we may be put to the ultimate test of life or death.

Action Step

Ask yourself, “What am I chained to?

Comfort…ease…control…speedy results…people pleasing…family ties…

Don’t rush through your answers. Give God some space to speak to you.

5 minutes now could save you for an eternity.
