We are all familiar with the emergency prayer. “God help!” As we hit our knees begging God for an immediate need or rescue.
This week I want us to go deeper.
The prayer of faith always produces fruit. It always sees results.
Do your prayers always see results?
In order to pray in faith we have to hear the Word. We have to hear specific answers to our specific question.
Where do we find the answers?
The answers are always in His Word, the Bible.
There are many different kinds of prayer.
Prayer is a way to prepare ourselves and avoid weakness so that we won’t give in to temptation.
The prayer of faith, however; takes more preparation.
Putting together a prayer petition is one way to build up your faith and pray boldly.
Here are some simple steps to write your own petition.
1.Search God’s Word for scriptures about your situation.
2.Write it down.
3.Use Matthew 6:9-13 as an outline to put together your prayer petition.
4.Forgive anyone who you are in strife with including yourself.
5.Pray your petition out loud to God.
6.Continue to say out loud your scriptures until your faith is built up in that area.
7.Continue to praise Jesus for your desired results!!!
Keep your mind on God and His awesomeness.
This is one way we prepare in prayer and how we can overcome temptation in any area of our lives.
Are you willing to prepare?
