2 Thessalonians 1:4-5
“We point to you as an example of unwavering faith for all the churches of God. We boast about how you continue to demonstrate unflinching endurance through all the persecutions and painful trials you are experiencing. All of this proves that God’s judgment is always perfect and is intended to make you worthy of inheriting the kingdom of God, which is why you are going through these troubles.”

Patience, Faith and Endurance
These terms; patience, faith and endurance are not very popular, especially patience.
There is no easy route to acquire these attributes.
It takes work, commitment and discipline.
These are also not popular.
In our western culture, we are not very familiar with persecution for being a Christian.
I would bet that if you examine your life, there would be little, if any evidence of true hardship or persecution.
We are spoiled. We have our for-fathers to thank for this gracious lifestyle of abundance. It is because of their faithfulness to God and wisdom to honor God when establishing our nation that we live in peace and without persecution today.
I have been learning a bit about developing endurance recently through my exercise program.
Anyone who has known me for long knows that I am not someone who typically exercises.
That being said, God has been training me to trust Him and develop endurance through running.
I have learned to relax and breathe.
To focus on what is right in front of me and not to look to far ahead. One step and then another.
If you push a little further it gets easier.
And just keep going at my own pace, no comparison aloud.
Each of these points apply to our life circumstances.
God is amazing and He will teach you in whatever you are doing if you ask Him and are open to receive it.
Action Step: pick one endurance lesson from above and apply it to your circumstance.
