Day5
Week18
1Samuel 12
““Even now, take your stand and see this great thing which the Lord is doing before your eyes. Is it not the wheat harvest today? I will call to the Lord. And He will send thunder and rain, that you may know and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the Lord, by asking for yourselves a king.” So Samuel called to the Lord. And the Lord sent thunder and rain that day, and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.”

Out of Season
During the harvest season in that part of the world, it rarely rains.
Samuel is giving them a sign by praying to God and calling down thunder and rain proving to them that their choice of a physical king rather than God alone was a foolish decision.
This is not the only time they had been given physical signs and wonders.
What season are you in?
Sowing or reaping?
God’s seasons are not like ours. Sowing and reaping are continually happening.
It is important not to look at others fields. Comparison is a slippery slope. Someone else may be in harvest season while you are planting.
One sows another reaps, but God provides the increase.
Look up and be careful not to slide out of your season.
