“THERE WAS a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of wealth and valor. Kish had a son named Saul, a choice young man and handsome; among all the Israelites there was not a man more handsome than he. He was a head taller than any of the people.”

Opposite

Wealth, power, good looks!

What could go wrong?

So often we judge things according what we can see.

What does your bank account look like?

What does your influence look like?

What does your health look like?

What do your clothes, hair, face…look like?

These are all things we measure with.

Our circumstances, our appearance, our ability.

God’s way’s are not our way’s! Isaiah 55.

God is opposite. He looks from the inside out.

1Corinthians 1:27

Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

Action Step

How can you be opposite?

  1. Look at the answer instead of the question ?

  2. Focus on the size of your God rather than the size of your problem.

  3. Search your motives rather than comparing your weaknesses to others strengths.
