“Saul said to Michal, “Why have you betrayed me and sent away my enemy, so that he escaped?” And Michal said to Saul, “He said to me, ‘Let me go. Why should I kill you?’ ” Now David fled, and he escaped and came to Samuel at Ramah. And he reported to him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and stayed in Naioth. It was told Saul, saying, “David is at Naioth in Ramah.””

One Step Ahead
“Every man for himself!”Have you heard that saying?
David’s wife helped him escape, but then lied to her father to save her own neck.
David’s popularity wasn’t much help for him either because the people feared their king.
God is always One Step Ahead.
Do you feel like you’re being pursued by the enemy?
Maybe it seems like one thing right after another is going wrong in your life.
God is always One Step Ahead.
We all face challenges and difficulties, but our God has given us victory to overcome all the power of the enemy.
David wisely sought out the prophet in time of trouble.
We have a direct line to the King of Kings.
Seek Him first through prayer and fasting so that you also will be One Step Ahead.
Action Step
Determine the source of your trouble.
Ask Holy Spirit to give you understanding.
Is there something that you are doing or not doing that is causing the problem?
Is this simply a scheme from the enemy?
Pray and consider making a fast unto the Lord.
This spiritual exercise will allow you to align your thinking with God’s and also be One Step Ahead!
