Now What

A dead end road sign in the widerness.
Now What

Day4

Week15

2 Samuel

“When they reported to David, saying, “Uriah did not go down to his house,” David said to Uriah, “Have you not come from a journey? Why did you not go down to your house?” Uriah responded to David, “The ark, Israel, and Judah dwell in makeshift shelters. My Lord Joab and the officers of my Lord are camping in the open field. But I may enter my house to eat, to drink, and to sleep with my wife? As you live and as your soul lives, I will not do this thing!””

‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭11‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭MEV‬‬

Now What

Have you run out of options?

David did not plan for Uriah to be a man of great integrity and honor. Now what was he supposed to do? His cover up was foiled.

Did you ever try to cover up a bad choice only to make things worse?

The best decision you can ever make is to confess your sin and humble yourself before God.

David found himself tangled in the web of sin and deception.

Uriah is displaying a wonderful example for David, but to David it feels like salt in a wound.

Humble pie is not very tasty, but consider the eternal consequences if you don’t eat your pie.

Action Step

If you are at your wits end, you are in a great place. This is where God starts!

You are never alone and there is nothing too big for God to handle. Even if you got yourself into a mess!
