No Limits
I love what Jonathan said here. He said, “The Lord is not limited.” What a great faith statement.
He was fully persuaded that God was able to do the impossible. We find him alone in this story with only his armor bearer.
He took action and defeated the enemy camp because when he was faced with impossible odds he relied on God’s resources and not on his own strength.
What about you? In your circumstances, are you fully persuaded that your God is not limited?
There are many examples in the Bible where God chose to use few rather than many.
The story of Gideon comes to mind. Found in the book of Judges 6-8.
If you remember, God told Gideon he had too many in his army. He had him send thousands of men home and only allowed 300 men to stay. The enemy camp was described as numerous as locusts covering the banks and as sand on the seashore too many to count.
Do your circumstances look and feel like those odds?
The odds don’t matter!
Gideon and his few won the battle with trumpets, the sound of broken glass, torches and their mouth’s.
As we learn to fully rely on God, we can begin to understand that instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
1 Corinthians 1:27-28
Action Step:
Do your circumstances look impossible?
If you answered yes then based on the Word we studied today, you are in a good place.
Prepare your heart by humbly giving your situation to God in prayer.
Rely on God to use many or few to give you victory!
