Day3

Week20

2 Samuel

“Then the king answered the woman, “Please do not conceal from me anything that I ask you.” The woman said, “May my Lord the king please speak.” The king said, “Is the hand of Joab with you in all of this?” The woman answered and said, “As your soul lives, my Lord the king, there is no turning right or left from anything that you spoke, my Lord the king, for your servant Joab is the very one who commanded me and placed all of these words in my mouth. In order to change this situation, your servant Joab did this thing, but my Lord is wise, as with the wisdom of the angel of God, so as to discern everything happening in the land.””

‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭14‬:‭18‬-‭20‬ ‭MEV‬‬

Mouthful

Whose w

ords are in your mouth?

The woman in our story had a mouthful of Joab’s words. She was speaking on behalf of another, but in disguise.

Consider what has been coming out of your mouth lately. Has your mouth been In alignment with the Word of God?

Have you been spewing a mouthful of doubt and unbelief and fear?

We need to remember that every idle word that comes out of our mouth is being recorded in heaven and we will be judged for it.

“But I say to you that for every idle word that men speak, they will give an account on the Day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭36‬-‭37‬ ‭MEV‬‬

No need to wait until judgement day. The power of life and death are in our tongue. Proverbs 18:21.

Joab did this in order to change the situation. We also can change our situation with our mouth.

Put His word in your mouth and say it in His name!

Action Step

What are you saying?

A good place to start is to

pray this out loud:

Father God, thank you for caring about every detail of my life. Forgive me for spending so much mental energy worrying about circumstances I can't control. I give each pressing situation to you. Please work in miraculous ways. Thank you that I can trade my anxieties for your peace. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
