Day1
Week24
1Samuel 15
“But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, oxen, fatlings, and lambs. And of all that was good, they were not willing to utterly destroy them. But everything that was despised and weak, that they completely destroyed. Then came the word of the Lord to Samuel, saying, “I regret that I have set up Saul to be king because he has turned back from following Me, and he has not carried out My words.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried to the Lord all night.”

Looks Can Be Deceiving
Have you ever been deceived by looks?
Maybe a food that looked fabulous, but one bite and it was awful!
What about a food that looked good and tasted good, but food poisoning.
Remember Adam and Eve in the garden?
“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasing to the eyes and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave to her husband with her, and he ate.”
Genesis 3:6 MEV
Looks can be deceiving.
There is nothing new under the sun. The lusts of the flesh are still trouble makers in our lives.
Whatever God says is true.
If God instructs you to do something, that is what you should do!
For Example:
If God impresses you to make a budget and know exactly where your money is going, then do not delay, do it.
Whatever God says to remove from your life, whether it be food, drink, a person, gossip, coveting, anger, worry, fear…
Be quick to obey and get rid of it.
Sometimes there are things that look good and maybe were good for a time, but as soon as you get understanding from God to get rid of it, it or he/she is no longer good for you.
The reason is not important. Our ways are not like Gods’ ways and all we need to know is that God loves us and He sees the whole matter.
Action Step
Are you holding on to something that God has impressed you to let go of?
Obey quickly and repent.
Obedience is better than sacrifice.
