Kindness

The world we live in seems so fast paced that simple kindness oftentimes is forgotten.

It was customary in David’s time for the new reigning king to kill anyone from the family line of the previous king because they were a potential threat to their dynasty.

David, as busy as he was establishing his kingdom, found time to not only show kindness, but to honor his promise to his friend Jonathan.

Jonathan was dead and no one knew about the terms of their covenant, yet David was a man of his word.

Kindness is a type of behavior marked by acts of generosity, consideration, rendering assistance, or concern for others, without expecting praise or reward in return. God is synonymous with kindness: it has been said that God is so kind that it is impossible to imagine His unbounded kindness!

Abraham has long been dead, but God has never forgotten the covenant He made with him. Jesus is the fulfillment of that covenant. Because of God’s love and kindness for all people, He made a way for all of us to be included.

Jesus is the way!
