Day1
Week 13
Hebrews 11
”By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out into a place which he would later receive as an inheritance. He went out not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the promised land, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs of the same promise, for he was looking for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.“

Just Go
Do you have children?
If so, do you remember when they were toddlers and wanted to know “Why?” all the time? What about, “Where are we going?” And, “Are we there yet?”?
Abram trusted God, whom he could not see, to leave his home and father’s family to go to a place where he had not been told.
His only instruction was to just go.
In the years between Noah and Abram the people on earth did not hear from God. Their language had been confused at the Tower of Babel and they were in silence from above.
Imagine what that was like.
Abram was a descendant of
Noah’s son Shem. It isn’t recorded if anyone else heard from God.
Suppose that God had tried to speak to mankind sooner, but no one was listening.
Abram was listening and heard God. He not only heard God, but He obeyed and acted on what He heard.
Faith acts. That is how we know if we are walking by faith. The key word is walking or moving or acting on what God told us.
Abram waited on the promise, but he didn’t wait paralyzed in fear.
He kept moving forward.
What has God told you to do?
Just go!
Whatever it is, He will not tell you more until you just go and get started on the instructions you have already been given.
