Day3
Week 5
Hebrews 5
“Concerning this we have much to say that is hard to explain, since you have become hard of hearing. For though by now you should be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God and have come to need milk rather than solid food. Everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food belongs to those who are mature, for those who through practice have powers of discernment that are trained to distinguish good from evil.”

It Takes Practice
Warning #3 Spiritual Immaturity
Today’s lesson seems a bit harsh and down right mean!
Sometimes children need tough love.
Which category do you find yourself identifying with?
Milk or solid food?
Basketball star, Kobe Bryant, after he had reached the top of his field could still be found early in the morning at the gym doing basic defensive foot drills for several hours a day. He still practiced the fundamentals even though he had achieved much success.
It takes practice in any area that we expect to achieve success.
Why do we think it would be different with our faith?
What does Faith practice look like?
Daily Read His Word
Alone Quiet Time In Prayer talking & listening ( do not be hard of hearing)
Memorizing & Meditation of Gods Word Keep it before your eyes
Praise & Gratitude
Say What His Word Says (not what you feel)
You are on the right track because you are reading this right now.
We all have room for improvement. The point is that we do not become slack in practicing the fundamentals of our faith.
The most important fundamental is to practice His presence.
He is available 24/7 and wants to be a part of every detail of your life.
If you are emptying the dishwasher or cleaning out your garage, He wants your attention.
Try thanking Him because you have a dishwasher and a garage, not to mention dishes or tools to put in them and if you have enough surplus to need to sort and organize, then you have much to be thankful for.
Action Step
Whatever you are doing today, thank Him while you are doing it.
Start by thanking Him right now by leaving a comment below about 1 thing that you are thankful for. We will praise Him together.
