It's Personal

Day3

Mark16:9-11

“Early on the first day of the week, after rising from the dead, Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. After she had seen Jesus, she ran to tell his disciples, who were all emotionally devastated and weeping. Excitedly, Mary told them, “He’s alive and I’ve seen him!” But even after hearing this, they didn’t believe her.”

It's Personal

Mary’s last name was not Magdalene. This is a word that means to come from Magdala. This was an ancient prominent city on the Sea of Galilee which was known for processing fish.

The Bible tells us that Mary was delivered from seven demons. It doesn’t say which ones or what kind. There is no factual evidence that she was a prostitute.

She was delivered by Jesus. Set free! The Bible tells us that she was one of Jesus ministry supporters and she was the first to see Him alive.

She was the first to evangelize to the disciples

That Jesus was alive!

She believed because she saw! She touched Him! Her physical senses were engaged. Even so, her experience and excitement was not enough for the others to believe.

Jesus did not leave them in their unbelief. He made sure that each of them had a personal experience with Him.

They did not have the Bible or history or tradition to tell them.

Jesus is a personal Savior.

He gave each one of us a personal experience when we were born again!

NOW we are to walk by faith!

Have you had a personal experience with Jesus?

Get excited about it like Mary of Magdala and go tell someone.
