Day4
Mark 14:17-19“And when evening came, he entered the house and went upstairs with his twelve disciples. Over dinner, while they were reclining around the table, Jesus said, “Listen to the truth: One of you eating here with me is about to betray me.” Feeling deeply troubled by these words, one after another asked him, “Is it I?”

Is it I?
Can you imagine hearing that accusation? Think about it. These men had left their businesses, their families, their friends… to follow Jesus. They were with Him for the past three years. How could He say something like that? It can’t be true.
How long have you been following Him? What have you left behind to do so?
Ask yourself, “Is it I?”
When Jesus speaks, it pierces your heart. Each one of us knows that we are not exempt from denying Him or even betraying Him.
The disciples knew it too.
It is interesting to think that they had just finished preparation for the Feast of Unleavened bread. Getting rid of all yeast, which represents sin and yet Jesus says to them, “One of you shall betray me”
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:14
Holy Spirit, help us to examine our own hearts and help us to stay on the narrow road. Amen!
