Day1
Week11
1Samuel 7
“SO THE men of Kiriath-jearim came and took the ark of the Lord and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill and consecrated Eleazar his son to have charge of the ark of the Lord. And the ark remained in Kiriath-jearim a very long time [nearly 100 years, through Samuel's entire judgeship, Saul's reign, and well into David's, when it was brought to Jerusalem]. For it was twenty years before all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord. [I Chron. 13:5-7.]”

How Long?
God is merciful and long suffering!
Twenty years is a long time.
Even with all the calamities that fell on the Philistines that the people heard about and all God had done for them in the past, they still ran from God.
Is there something that you are holding back from God?
A part of your life that you have kept separate holding onto control, or comfort or even fear?
How long have you been clinging to it?
We are in a new year now.
Isn’t it time to release it?
If nothing changes,
Nothing changes!
Action step
Examine your heart. Ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you areas that you may be keeping secret and holding onto.
Are you struggling with your weight?
What about debt?
What about oppression or depression?
Strife and unforgiveness are sneaky ways the devil tricks us into holding on to suffering!
God sees you!
He knows your struggles.
Letting go is the first step to victory.
