Day5
Week1
Hebrews 1
“And God has never said this to any of his angels: “Take your seat next to me at my right hand until I force your whispering enemies to be a rug under your feet.” What role then, do the angels have? The angels are spirit-messengers sent by God to serve those who are going to be saved.”

He Is No Angel
Have you ever heard someone say, “He is no angel.” about another person or perhaps your child? Maybe you have said it.
This statement generally means that we have a little stinker on our hands or if referring to an adult, a person not to be trusted.
In today’s passage, the author is pointing out that Our Savior, He is no angel! The meaning is completely different here. Jesus is not an angel. He is God and has all the authority of God and by contrast, the angels were created by Him and for Him.
The angels work for Jesus kind of like a para- legal works for an attorney. They go where He says and do what He needs done, so that He can take care of defending us.
Angels are powerful, but they are not God or Jesus.
The author was writing to people who had been in an idolatrous culture and had worshipped angels in the past. They may have been tempted to go back into that practice.
Make no mistake, we are not to be involved with angel worship or giving them honor. They are fellow servants of Christ. They are powerful created beings like we are, but they are in the unseen realm.
All glory and honor belong to Jesus.
Action Step
Pause for a moment and marvel at the fact that the creator of the universe listens when you talk to Him.
Imagine God creating you.
As you reflect on His greatness, give Him whatever honor and praise that come to mind.
