Day1
Week23
2 Samuel
“The whole land wept with a loud voice as all the people passed by. Now the king was crossing over the brook Kidron, and all of the people were crossing over on the road to the wilderness. And Abiathar came up, and behold, Zadok also came, and all of the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God; and they set down the ark of God until all of the people had finished passing out of the city. The king said to Zadok, “Take the ark of God back to the city. If I have found favor in the eyes of the Lord, He will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its resting place. But if He should say now, ‘Behold, I take no delight in you,’ here I am, let Him do to me what seems good to Him.””

Great Attitude
David has many faults as do we all, but what amazes me most about him is that even in trying times due to his own mistakes, he still manages to have a great attitude.
How is your attitude during difficult times?
I have to admit, my attitude needs some work to say the least.
As we look at this lesson, let’s think about how David prioritizes the importance of the things of God.(The Ark of The Covenant). He wants the ark safe even if it means he loses everything.
For us “The Ark” represents our relationship with God.
Are we willing to leave everything behind to follow Jesus?
Action Step
Ask yourself if you would choose Jesus over your children, job, spouse, lifestyle…
God, I am amazed that You delight in me! Thank You for seeing me not for my imperfections, but as Your child who delights in You. Help me to never lose focus on You, Your guidance, and Your love. I want You to be the most important part of my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
